GUESS WHAT? IT’S FESTIVAL TIME AGAIN!
Having a close look this weeks set it strikes me that this one is full of soul food. I have a #Tribe and Frank #Wiedemanns Remix of ‚Yellow Raincoats‘ is excellent stuff to beginn with, followed by a little Re-Edit I did of ‚Deep Magnolia‘ I did couple a while ago. Love that Roland Clark acapella… if god had a voice he would sound like Roland #Clark!
Next big track comes from a great duo based in Germany called #Terranova & their remix of Art #Departments caught me by surprise 🙂
After setting the base of this Mixtape I drop two tracks which feel nice and fluffy. First one is David #Herrero with a great rework on the classic ‚In the beginning‘ anthem. Second is #Andhim collaborating with the great #MK (for those who don’t know it’s Mark #Kinchen) while the latter put his house grooves on last years festival anthem ‚Boy Boy Boy‘. Time to get a bit deeper now… just listen to the bassline and you will recognize that Olivier #Giacomotto had a finger in the pie. Not sure what’s Los #Paranos work in that track but seriously… that bass… that groove! Love you bro! Let’s fast forward: the next four tracks from Andre# Crom, Ruede #Hagelstein, Adam #Port, #Frankey & #Sandrino and #GruuvElement’s is that kind of sound what I call an electronic tofu. With thoughtfulness, deep energy and empathy. While talking ‚bout empathy DJ #Koze drops some serious words on the compound ‚XTC‘. Sweet in the beginning & bitter in the end? Whatever… I’m riding my digital surfboard and have never felt so great, or believed this to be possible.
